Demolition has been typically thought of as blowing buildings up or swinging a wrecking ball to knock down structures. But implosions make up less than one percent of today's demolitions and the crane and wrecking ball are seldom used anymore. Our industry has evolved towards safer and more controlled methods. Now we use state-of-the-art hydraulic excavators with multiple attachments, such as shears, concrete processors, hammers, grapples, and magnets, allowing structural elements to be safely and efficiently removed and separated, enabling the recycling of many of the components of the building.
